Gas alarm device using notes

gas alarm

1. The gas alarm device should be frequently calibrated and tested.
Gas alarm device same as other analysis testing instrument, are evaluated using the method of relative measurement: with a zero and a standard concentration of gas to calibrate the instruments, then get standard curve and store it in the instrument. When it is used to measure, the instrument will generate the electrical signals of the gas concentration measurement signals and compared it with standard concentration electrical signal, then calculate the accurately gas density. Therefore, it is necessary to zero the instrument at any time and to calibrate the instrument regularly to ensure the accuracy of instrument measurement. It should be noted that many gas alarm devices can be replaced with detection sensors, but this does not mean that a detector can be equipped with different detector probes at any time. Whenever the probe is replaced, the instrument must be recalibrated in addition to a certain sensor activation time. In addition, it is recommended to test the response of the standard gas before the use of the instruments, so as to ensure that the instruments really work well.
2. Avoid different gas interference to the combustible gas alarm device.
Generally speaking, each gas alarm sensor corresponds to a specific detection gas, but it may can not be absolute specific. Therefore, when choosing a gas sensor, it is necessary to know the detection interference of other gases to the sensor as far as possible, so as to ensure its accurate detection of specific gases.
3. The life of all kinds of combustible gas alarm sensors
All kinds of gas sensors have a certain service life. Generally speaking, For portable instruments, the life of LEL sensor type is long, generally it can be used for about three years. The lifetime of the optical ion detector is four years or more. The lifetime of electrochemical specific gas sensors is relative short, generally one to two years; The life of the oxygen sensor is the shortest, about a year. The life of the electrochemical sensor depends on the drying of the electrolyte in it, so if it is not used for a long time, sealing it and store it in a lower temperature environment can extend its service life. Because of the relatively large size of the stationary instrument, the sensor has a longer life. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the sensor at any time and try to use the sensor within its effective period. Once it fails, it should be replaced immediately.
4. Gas alarm instrument measurement range of concentration
Each kind of poisonous and harmful gas alarm has its fixed detection range. The gas alarm instrument can only be used within the specified range to measure accurately. And measuring beyond the range for too long may cause permanent damage to the gas sensor.
For example, a LEL detector, if accidentally used in an environment with more than 100%LEL, can completely burn the sensor. Toxic gas detectors, working for a long time in a high concentration toxic gas will also cause damage. Therefore, if the fixed instrument sends out the over-limit signal, the measuring circuit should be closed immediately to ensure the safety of the sensor.
